Plaza de Armas in Santiago Chile

I had a day to spend in Santiago Chile before my flight back to the states departed.  I stashed my bags at the bus station and wandered around the city for a while.  Each city in Chile has a place in the downtown area called the Plaza de Armas.  The one in Santiago is huge and offers plenty of people watching opportunities as well as plenty of excellent examples of architecture in the surrounding buildings.  I liked the contrast between one of the city’s oldest buildings in front of one of the newest.
